Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Window Cost Calculator uses on this website, what they do and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information — for example, how you arrived — between pages and visits.
First-party cookies we set
When you land on the site we set first-party wml_* cookies to record marketing attribution. These store the campaign values in your link (UTM parameters) and any advertising click identifiers (for example Google or Meta click ids), so that if you submit an enquiry we know which campaign introduced you. These cookies expire 90 days after they are set. The same values may also be kept in your browser’s local storage as a fallback.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content | Records the marketing campaign that referred you | 90 days |
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and similar | Records advertising click identifiers for attribution | 90 days |
wml_landing_url | Remembers the first page you landed on | 90 days |
Tag-manager and analytics cookies
We may enable a tag manager (Google Tag Manager) to load analytics or advertising tags. When active, these tags may set their own cookies — for example Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_XXXXXXX (used to distinguish visitors and sessions), and advertising cookies set by Google or Meta. These are only set once tagging is switched on; if you do not see them, no such tags are currently active.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking our wml_* attribution cookies will not stop the site or the enquiry form from working. Note that our enquiry form requires JavaScript to submit securely.
For how we use the data collected through the form and these cookies, see our privacy policy.
